Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ for A.B. Griffin, who passed away at his home Monday night. Mr. Griffin had been in failing health for the past few years and was only critically ill for the past week.

The services were conducted by Rev. A.C. Wood, assisted by Rev. O.O. Holladay. Special songs at the services were "No Night There" and "God Will Take Care of You." Interment was in the Wheeler cemetery with the Hunt Funeral Home in charge.

Albert Beauregard Griffin was born Jan. 1, 1872, in Greenville, South Carolina. He came to Texas in 1898 and was married to Miss Hettie Pearl Fair in 1901, and to this union were born thirteen children, as follows: Bill of Stockton, California; Mrs. Gene Tucker of Pampa; Mrs. W.R. Wilson of Booneville, Arkansas; Bogin of Wheeler; Mrs. Geo. Nordin of San Francisco, California; Ben who is in Cairo, Egypt; Jeff of Fort Bliss, Texas, Mrs. Claude Casey of Washington, D.C.; Tony who is somewhere in England; Joe B. of Fort Belfoir, Virginia; Mrs. Jim Wood of Wheeler; Albert of Wheeler; and Victor Pearl, who died in infancy.

The Griffin family moved to Wheeler county in 1911 and Mr. Griffin was engaged in the blacksmithing business until the last few years, when he became ill. He was well known throughout the community and one of the few to have five sons in the armed forces, an honor of which he was very proud.

Other than the widow and the children, Mr. Giffin's only surviving relative is a niece, Mrs. Sallie Nolan of Pearisburg, Virginia. His children who were unable to attend the services were: Bill, of Stockton, Calif.; Mrs. Gene Tucker who was in Virginia at the time of his passing, Ben who is in Egypt and Tony who is in England.

Pallbearers were W.W. Adams, Levi Reid, O. Nations, Terrell Gunter, Marl Jaco and C.J. Meek.

The entire Wheeler community extends to the bereaved family the deepest of sympathy in their loss.
