Dora Mathis Bingham, 88, of Nashville died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, in Columbus.

Mrs. Bingham was a homemaker and attended Clark's Church as a child.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville with Roy Hendershot officiating. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery in Brown County.

Born in Brown County on July 18, 1920, Mrs. Bingham was the daughter of Frank and Flora Etta Sturgeon Mathis.

Survivors include four daughters, Dolly (Keith) Matlock, Betty (Paul) Hardin and Pat Rice, all of Nashville, and Nellie Petro of Edinburgh; a son, Kenneth (Susie) Lucas of Nashville; 28 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; three daughters, Norma Petro, Linda Bingham and Molly Woods; and a son, Edward Lucas.
