Charles William Nichols, 88 of Bourbon County died Monday April 20, 2009 at the Bourbon Community Hospital.

He was born March 22, 1921 in Harrison Co., KY a son of the late George Daniel and Ollie Brunker Nichols.

Mr. Nichols was a member of the Berea Christian Church, a WWII Army Veteran, and was a retired research technician at the University of Kentucky.



He is survived by his wife of 63 years Dorothy Traylor Nichols, 4 sons Danny Nichols, Paris, Stephen (Sandi) Nichols, Lexington, Barry Nichols, Paris, Charles A. (Audrey) Nichols, Cynthiana, 3 nieces Ann Shepherd, Sue Jonczyk, and Ruth Clough, 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.



Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday April 23, 2009 at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Seth Adamson.

Burial will follow the service in the Battle Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.



Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
