Obituary in The Shreveport Times, June 22, 1955:

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from Rose-Neath Chapel for James N. Harrison, 68, of 824 Prospect, who died at 3 a.m. Tuesday in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of Marshal, Texas, Mr. Harrison had lived in Shreveport for the past 67 years. He was a plasterer.

Services will be conducted by Father G. R. Baudoin, S.J., assistant pastor of St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Spring Ridge Cemetery near Keatchie.

Mr. Harrison is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lexie Frye, of England; four sisters, Mrs. M. E. Moreland, of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. W. C. Deal and Mrs. H. J. Walcott, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. A. D. Moore, of Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, J. T. Harrison, W. B. Harrison and C. M. Harrison, all of Shreveport; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Harrison, J. T. Harrison Jr., R. E. Harrison, H. J. Walcott Jr., J. F. Walcott, W. C. Deal Jr., and J. H. Lane.
