Eventually, she pursued an acting career and was told that a name like Grandstaff would take her nowhere so she legally changed her name to Katherine Grant (dropping the Olive). She married Bing Crosby in Las Vegas on October 24, 1947. He died near Madrid, Spain 14 Oct 1977. She is still living. They had three children and he also had a child from his previous marriage to a woman name Wilma Wyatt.
