Mrs. Hicks was born in Savannah and a native of Augusta. She graduated from the Academy of Richmond County and was an active Red Hatter. Mrs. Hicks was an administrative specialist at MCG and homemaker. She was a member of First Primitive Baptist Church.
Family members in addition to her husband include her sons: Marc Lindskog of Mexico and Chip Hicks of Columbia, SC; granddaughters: Ann and Sarah Hicks; brother Carl Pittman and wife Patricia of Memphis, TN and a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers: Margaret, Barbara and Kim.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 4, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Elder Max Hicks officiating. Interment followed in Westover Memorial Park.
