Josephine daughter of Angelo & Katie Vecchi-Bellodi Italian Immigrants. Her father was a Coal Miner in Colorado. She was born in a Coal Mining town in Sunlight Colorado. She was the youngest sister to Selicia, Vasco, Pete, Frank, Louisa, Robert. She worked as an 4th Grade Elementary Teacher at Lincoln Elementary Denver Public Schools until her retirement. She never married. She received a bachelor's degree from Colorado State Teachers' College and a master's degree from the University of Denver. She taught in Denver for 38 years. Josephine A Bellodi was a volunteer at the Platt Park Recreation Center and a member of the Denver Teachers Club. She enjoyed reading, photography, jewelry-making, silversmith, gardening and travel she and Selica lived together in a little house on South Downing Street. 1733 S Downing Denver, Colorado 80210 Josephine was called Mooch from stealing chewing tobacco from her brothers until the day she died. Josephine later lived in an apartment 100 Park Ave W. Denver, Colorado 80205 and lived at Park Manor Nursing Home her last days. Her sister Louise was in the same nursing home at the time. Josephine died of Ovarian Caner. Buried Fairmount Mausoleum. Never married.
