LIBERTY Mrs. Ruth Foster Clapp, 86, of 3423 N.C. 62 East, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Alamance Regional Medical Center, after two days of critical illness.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2001, at Lows Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Brian Ballard, pastor of Lows Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A native of Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Lester F. Foster and the late Alice Petty Foster. She retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery. She was a member of Lows Lutheran Church.

Survivors are her daughters, Mrs. Alvis (Ann) Greeson of Liberty, Mrs. Paul (Glenda) Horner of Burlington; a granddaughter, Shannon M. Horner; grandson, B. Todd Horner; sisters, Ms. Hazel Alson, Ms. Gilda McLeod, Ms. Jeanette Chriscoe, Mrs. Bruce (Betty) Troup, all of Burlington; brothers, Mr. Roy Foster, Mr. Arthur Foster, Mr. Kenneth Foster, all of Burlington; and caretaker, Mrs. Maxine Patterson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Coble Clapp; and brothers, Barney Foster, Harvey Foster, and Tom Foster.
