BALDWIN, Rita Grace (Serafini,) 71, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Friday, November 21, 2008, at her son's home in Houston, Texas.
She was born March 5, 1937, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Oreste Serafini and Lillian (DiFilippo) Serafini.
Rita was a devoted wife and mother who courageously battled cancer for the past 21 months. She lived her final days as she lived her entire life in the warm company of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. (Semo) Baldwin; and brother, Carmine L. Serafini both of Steubenville.
She is survived by a sister, Carmela L. Serafini; a brother, John V. (Barbara) Serafini both of Steubenville; sister-in-law, Margie Serafini of Steubenville; four children, Samuel R. (Cindy) Baldwin of Houston, Anthony E. Baldwin of Houston, John D. (Dayshawn) Baldwin of Cape Coral, Fla., and Brian C. Baldwin of Houston; and four grandchildren, Jordan, Madison, Mikailah and Dominic.
Calling hours are Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., where services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, Fr. Edmundo Stabene, officiant.
Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
There will be a Vigil service Monday at 3:45 p.m.
