J.E. Endicott Laid to Rest

James Everett Endicott, former resident of Joseph, passed away last Friday, Aug. 8, at Salem. Services were held from the Booth chapel Monday afternoon with Rev. Max Colburn, pastor of the Methodist church in Wallowa, in charge. Interment was in the Prairie Creek cemetery.

Mr. Endicott was born in Union April 13, 1888. He came to Wallowa county when he was a small boy and lived for awhile near Lostine beore moving to Prairie creek and later to Joseph. He served overseas in World War I, and engaged in farming and stockraising after his return from the service.

Surviving are four sisters: Mrs. W.S. Bean and Mrs. May Hodson of Newberg, Ore., Mrs. W.E. Ruckman of Alicel and Mrs. Clyde Sullivan of La Grande, and two brothers, Ulrich Endicott of Salem and Bert Endicott of Joseph.
