Jasper La Clair died Jan. 17, 1922 at his home, 351 E. 17th St. Aged 61. The native of Wisconsin had lived in Long Beach for 16 years. He was a member of the Elks lodge and has been manager of the Willow Gun club. He was survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma LaClair, son Edgar of Long Beach, and a sister in Alabama.
Also survived by daughter Willa S. LaClair; sister Lettie A. Mulihan of Laxley, Ala.; half-sisters Mrs. Nettie Kerwood of Greeley, Colo., and Hattie Brisber of York, Neb.; step-brother L.W. Ball of Glendale; step-sister Ethel Wirz. His father died Jan. 8, 1864, at the smallpox hospital in Danville, Va., prison.
