RACHEL HOLMES -- BAY MINETTE -- Rachel Irene Young Holmes, a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday at a local living center. She was 92. She was a schoolteacher and a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, James F. Holmes of Covington, La., and Harold E. Holmes of Bay Minette; one brother, William Burton Young of Bay Minette; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of First United Methodist Church in Bay Minette. The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Bay Minette Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.
