She was born July 25, 1914 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to James Benton and Dora Moss Benton.
Graveside services were at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark.
Mrs. Bruns was a former resident of Borger. A lifelong member of the Methodist Church, she was a homemaker and loved to quilt.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Dees in 1930 and Herman Richard Bruns in 1992 .
Survivors include two daughters, Nola Ash of Amarillo and Marsha Hansen of Moore, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
