Alline W. Gatlin, age 84 of Winter Haven passed away at 12:40PM on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital as a result of a respiratory failure.
Mrs. Gatlin was born in Hamilton County, Florida on March 3, 1925 to the parents of John & Corrine (Smith) Woods. She had been a resident of Winter Haven most of her life, retired from Bordo Citrus, raised her family and worshiped at the 34th Street West Church of God, Winter Haven.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: 3rd: Walter Cole Gatlin; 2nd: Charlie Barrington; 1st: Harvey Jordon Thompson; 5 sons: Terry Lee "Buddy" Thompson, James Elliott Thompson, Billy Darrell Thompson, Eddie Dean Thompson and Charles Thompson.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Martha Clemmons of Auburndale, JoAnn Johnson and Donna Barrera of Winter Haven; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. 2 brothers: John Riley Woods and John Henry Woods of Winter Haven; 3 sisters: Kathleen Jackson of Greensboro, SC, Pauline Courson and Madelin Fogherty of Lake Butler, FL
