J. M. Finneran Died Saturday; Was a Farmer
James M. Finneran, 81, a retired farmer, died early Saturday morning at St. John's Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Finneran was born Aug. 1, 1875, in Leavenworth, a son of John and Julia Finneran. Most of his lifetime was spent in farming. On Aug. 4, 1896 at the Old Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church he was married to Miss Josephine Magers. He was a member of the Old Cathedral Church.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Josephine Finneran, 769 Miami; five daughters, Mrs Claude Fry, RR 2, Easton; Mrs. Blanche Carnoali, 504 N. Broadway; Mrs. Theodore Vanderstaay, RR 4; Mrs. Raymond Miller, RR 3, and Mrs. Hubert Klasinski, 777 Osage; three sons, James Finneran, Los Angeles, Calif.; Andrew Finneran, Palmdale, Calif., and Robert Finneran, 223 Pottawatomie.
Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the Old Catherdral with the Very Rev. Magr. A. M. Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Rosaries will be recited today at the Sumpter Funeral Chapel at the following times; LCBA at 7:30 p.m., Daughters of Isabella at 8 p.m., and friends and members of the parish at 8:30 p.m.
The body will remain at the Sumpter Chapel.
