Funeral for Velma Urcil Warren, 80, Oregon City, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. She died Wednesday at a Salem Hospital. The Rev. Melvin Stockwell, Sr. and Tom Beck will officiate.
She was born in Ritchie, Mo. and lived in Oregon City since moving to the area at the age of 5. Mrs. Warren was a proofreader for The Banner Courier in Oregon City. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, David Warren, Oregon City, two granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests contributions to the First Baptist Church of Oregon City instead of flowers.
