Verdie E. Seiling, 94, of Gilman, IL., died at 11:40 A.M., Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, IL., following a short illness.
A funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman, with Rev. Steven Hartman officiating.
Burial will be in the Danforth Cemetery, Danforth. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Redenius Funeral Home, Gilman.
Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Ambulance or to the Donor's Choice.
Verdie was born on September 4, 1916 in Thawville, IL., to Albert & Anna (Neding) Wagner.
Her childhood was spent in Thawville. She graduated from the Thawville High School.
Her first husband was Irwin Conrads, he died September 1970.
Verdie later married Arthur L. Seiling on April 3, 1975 in Gilman. He died on March 12, 1993.
Other survivors - one sister - Mabel Cresswell of Piper City, IL. One niece - Shirley and Roger Read of Piper City. Two nephews - Harold "Mike" and Dorothy Cresswell of Watseka. Marvin and Jeanie Cresswell of Marion, IL. Several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Pre-decedents - parents, two husbands and one sister - Anna E. Hayslette.
Verdie was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Danforth. She enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
