MIDLAND Kathy Joy Chapman, 57, of Midland died at 6:45 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at the Medical Center of Beaver.

Born May 2, 1951, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of Imogene Chapman at home and the late Lloyd "Hutch" Chapman, she was a lifetime resident of the Tri-State Area.

A member of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ, she was a devoted Steelers fan who also loved Elvis Presley.

In addition to her mother, a brother, Paul L. Winters, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Robinson Township, Pa., survives along with three nieces, Lahoma Blocker, Jennifer Winters and Kristi Chapman, and two nephews, Anthony and Terry Chapman.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Ray Chapman, a sister, Sallie Janet Chapman and a nephew Joseph Chapman.

Evangelist Will Montgomery is to conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at the Dawson Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2-4 and 68 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009.

Burial is to be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Immediately following the service family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
