Catherine Moore Lang was the daughter of John Lang Sr. (1803-1880) and Nancy Ann Moore Lang (1814-1841). She married Robert Moore Simpson , son of Alexander Moore Simpson and Margaret Jane Cunningham Simpson on Dec 16, 1858 in Huntingdon , Co., Pa. They had eleven children, Margaret Anne, Marietta, Alexander Cunningham, Sarah Cathryn, Warren Lang, Wiiliam Lewis, Charles Moore, Milton R., Elizabeth Maud, Lola Alice and Amy Izadora Simpson.
