A life-long resident of Jackson, Claudia grew up in Fondren and attended Duling Elementary School, Bailey Junior High, and Murrah High School. After graduating from Murrah in 1961, she went to Ole Miss, where she was a Chi Omega. In her early adulthood Claudia began a long career in oil exploration that included working for Seismograph Service Corporation, Delta Exploration, Geophysical Field Surveys, Jackson Seismic Processing, and Veritas. At the time of her death, she was employed at The Education Center School in Jackson. She was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church and was active at Briarwood Methodist Church. She is greatly missed by her daughter, her two grandchildren, her sister, her niece and nephew and their children, and many other relatives and good friends.
