George W. BIGGS, 76, 1224 Elm street, died unexpectedly at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home. He was born Aug. 14, 1895 in Fulton county to Benjamin and Armitta AUSPAUGH BIGGS and had resided all his life in this area. His first marriage was to Hazel HARSH, who died in 1925. He was married to Margaret TOUGHY, who died in 1935. He retired from the Rochester Metal Products company in 1960. He was a World War I veteran and belonged to the American Legion, the VFW and the Eagles lodge, all of Rochester. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy UTTER, Logansport; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and a brother, Dee D. BIGGS, Macy. He was one of a family of fourteen children, of which one brother survives. Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. Josef PALAT officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home. The American Legion and VFW will conduct graveside military services.
