She was born August 17, 1916, at Beautfort, the daughter Fritz Fechtler and wife Emma, nee Rapps.
Mrs. Hobelmann received schooling at Jeffriesburg.
On February 26, 1938, she was united in marriage to Anton "Tony" Hobelmann.
Mrs. Hobelmann was employed at the Carmo Shoe Company, Union, for more than 30 years. She retired in 1981.
Mrs. Hobelmann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anton Hobelmann, on December 22, 1987; two sisters, Nelda Grinnip and Freda Henderson; and three brothers, Elmer Fechtler, Emil Fechtler and Ervin Fechtler.
She is survived by one son, Larry Hobelmann and wife Susan, St. Charles; one daughter, Jeanette Lawrence and husband Paul, Sullivan; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 11, at Oltmann Funeral Home, Union, with Rev. Brian Dixon officiating.
Interment was in the Union Cemetery, Union.
