Marie T. McMahon died April 6,1962 from complications of a recent surgery. She was born May 15,1904 in Auburndale,Wi,one of 12 children, to Jacob and Catherine Zittler Gust. Marie moved to Delevan Wi. to work at Bradley Knitting during World War I and met her future husband Claude "Ray" McMahon, whom she married June 14,1922 in East Troy. Her and Ray moved to Beloit,Wi after the birth of their first 2 sons. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, the Women's Benefit Ass.,and was employed by Fairbanks- Morse in Beloit during WWII and later by Beloit Memorial Hospital in the laundry dept.

She is survived by her 4 sons,Claude R. Jr.,Edward(Rose),Jacob(Marion),and Bernard(Shirley) McMahon all of Beloit,daughter,Estella(Dean)Needham of,Clinton,Wi, her mother,13 grandchildren;Ray,Patricia,Michael,David,Joseph,Daniel, Bonnie,and Becky McMahon,all of Beloit,
Ivan "Jim" Jr, and Robert McMahon of Virginia, and Mary Kay,Alan, and John Needham of Clinton,Wi.4 sisters,Anna Seidel of Harve,Montana, Emma Mews of Auburndale,Wi,Doris Becker of Los Angeles,Ca,and Rose Ludtke of East Troy,6 brothers,Harol and Jacob of Marshfield,Martin of Waukegan,Il,Florian of Auburndale,Frank of Stratford,Wi,and Maxmillan of Wisconsin Rapids,Wi. She was predeceased by her husband,father,son Commander Ivan J. McMahon,granddaughter,Janet McMahon,and sister,Sister Mary Gerishene.
