George M. House was born in GA, parents unknown, perhaps Micajah or Lott or Liston House was his father. 1850 George is the overseer in the Lincoln Co GA household of my ggg grandparents Michael L. ANDREWS b 1797-98 GA and wife (Berthena) Parthenia PULLIN. George mar 1851 Wilkes Co GA to their daughter Parthenia b abt 1835 GA and in 1856 this whole family moved to eastern Arkansas, leaving behind many cousins and extended family members in allied lines of Pullin, Andrews, Gill, House and more. George and Parthenia lived in St Francis / Woodruff County Arkansas near Cotton Plant (post office), not far from Brinkley AR. He enlisted in the 18th Ark Infantry at Cotton Plant, marched to Little Rock where he joined March 1862 the Confederacy. Measles epidemic nearly wiped out the unit and George may have died of the disease. He is shown as G.M. HOUSE, died at Priceville, Mississippi June 24, 1862.

I am assuming George M. House is buried in Lee County in this Cemetery as I have found no other death or burial record. His wife Parthenia remarried #2 Edward Holleman / Holman in Arkansas and Ed HOLMUN died 1873 (bible record); Parthenia remarried last / 3rd time Aug 18, 1876 Monroe Co AR (Brinkley) to Dillard L. COOPER b 1838 Spartanburg,Thickety,SC a son of Benson G.COOPER and Delphia LINDSEY who had settled St Francis Co AR about 1845-46. Dillard Cooper died April 1884 of pneumonia, suffered after fighting a wildfire on his land. Parthenia never remarried and died July 1915 Newport,JacksonCo AR while living with a daughter (my great grandmother) Clara COOPER b 1878 MonroeCoAR and her husband (my great grandfather) William David McLAIN b 1859 LawrenceCo AR. He was a lumberman, owned a sawmill, was in Land and Lumber business with HOLDEN son in law, and served 1914-1915 as Jackson County Judge. Dillard L. COOPER had a previous HELMS marriage and perhaps another marriage before Parthenia. He left descendants and I have information to share.
