She was born in Butler County, Kansas, July 31, 1874, the daughter of Lon and Coloma Gwartney, early day residents of Kansas. She had made her home in Chicago for many years. She was married in Kansas City, Kansas to Ira Conway in 1923 and he preceded her in death several years ago. She came to Leavenworth about 20 years ago.
Surviving are one brother, Mid Gwartney of Excelsior Springs, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sexton Funeral Chapel and burial will be in Mt. Muncie Cemetery. The body is at the Chapel.
