Pauline M. Shaw Burgess, 89, Depauw, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.

Born Oct. 6, 1919, in Lockport, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James and Anna Clements Shaw.

She was retired from the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown and was a member of Fountain United Methodist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph P. Burgess and a step-son, Peter Burgess.

Survivors include a son, James L. Burgess of Depauw.

Funeral: Friday, April 24, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial in Loudon's Chapel Cemetery.

Officiant: The Rev. Betty Ann Garrett.

Pallbearers: Jerry Genkins, Junior Rainbolt, Chris Cobb, Charles Nolot, Howard Sibert and Jim Hanner.
