Mr. Beveridge was the son of Charles M. and Mary Ann (Savage) Beveridge. When he registered for the draft in June, 1917, he worked for the Georges Creek Coal Company and lived in Midland, Maryland, signing his name as Thomas Edward Beveridge. He served in Europe from 14 March 1918 to 18 Apr 1919 with the American Expeditionary Force.

After the war, he married Bertha E. (Drury) Houck and became an electrician in Baltimore, possibly not in that order. Bertha was the daughter of William T. and Mollie L. Drury of Baltimore. Bertha and Thomas raised four children, two from Bertha's first marriage:

Edward J. Houck
Charles Carroll Houck
Donald Thomas Beveridge
Audrey Ruth Beveridge

He registered again for the draft in 1942, and his card listed his middle name as Edwin, but he just signed Thomas E. Beveridge. At that time, he was living at 404 Ilchester Ave, in Baltimore.
