OBITUARY. Died, Nov. 5, 1902, at his home seven and a half miles from Perryville near the Farmington road, John C. Moonie, aged 99 years. The deceased was born in France ... and came to America in 1840. He was married twice and raised a family of 22 children. A wife and 11 children survive him. He was raised a Catholic and often in his last days he has remarked "to die is a good blessing." The bereaved ones have the sympathy of many friends who met at the Cedar Fork church to pay their last respects to the deceased, who was laid to rest in the cemetery at that place. Funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the Methodist church, Rev. Rudolph Jones.
