MARION EUGENE "GENE" MOORE was born on 17 June 1915 in Weaver, Hopkins County, Texas to Marion Eliflett "Liff" Moore (1876 - 1948) & Charley Wesley "Jude" Bryant (1893-1978).

Marion's first wife was Doris Evelyn Minter, and they lived in Pine Forest, Texas but they were married on 30 May 1936 in Hugo, Choctaw County, Oklahoma, and they had two daughters:

Margaret Ruth Moore-Gleason (1937-2007) and
Ruby Sue Moore-Morrow (Living).

Cpl. Marion E. Moore entered the US Army Corps of Engineers in 1943. He trained in Fort Lewis, Washington, and served in England, France, Belgium, Germany, and Holland during WW II. He earned an ETO Ribbon with Battle Stars and other Honors.

After the war, Marion and Doris had grown too far apart, and their marriage was terminated in a divorce. Marion was remarried shortly there after to Ragine Starrett-Moore. He had one daughter in this marriage:

Marian Moore-Faucett (Living).

Marion passed away at his home in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, Texas on 18 February 1981, and was buried in the Family Plot at the Pine Forest Methodist Cemetery, Hopkins County, Texas.
