Longtime Alaska resident, Marsha Eve Beu, age 68, passed away September 2, 1994 at the Bonner County General Hospital in Sandpoint, Idaho. She was born November 26, 1925 in Farina, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Myrtle Sapp.

As a child, she moved to Longview, Texas where she graduated from high school in 1943. She lived in Jacksonville and Tyler, Texas where she married Edwin G. Beu Jr. on March 12, 1949. They moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1957.

Marsha was a member of the First Christian Church of Anchorage, the American Association of Retired Persons, a Life member of the Anchorage Senior Center, and as a member of The Alaskans, she traditionally attended their annual meting in Las Vegas, Nevada. She enjoyed eight years of retirement tremendously, traveling to various locations with her husband. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting and doing needlecrafts. She was a quiet, loving, gentle wife, mother, grandmother, and friend of many and will be sorely missed by all. "She will forever reign in our hearts".

Mrs. Beu is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ed Beu of Anchorage, Alaska; her sons, Gary Beu of Palmer, Alaska and Eddie (Lisa) Beu of Anchorage, Alaska; her daughter, Barbie and David Sammartano of Sandpoint, Idaho; her brother, Leo Sapp of Conroe, Texas; and grandchildren, Wendy Hathhorn of Seattle, Washington, Farelyn Hathhorn of Sandpoint, Idaho; and Melissa and Holly Beu of Anchorage, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Sapp, and a sister, Betye Cammack.

Funeral services were held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel in downtown Anchorage which was in charge of arrangements. Burial was held in the Fort Richardson National Cemetery, Anchorage, Alaska.
