Born in Newport, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Nellie (Holley) Henry.
Mary was a retired seamstress.
She was a member of the Linglestown Church of God and the Linglestown Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary was preceded in death by a son: Wade and a sister: Grace Rowe.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years: Boyd T. Aikey; six daughters: Carol Powers of New Cumberland, Cathy Krajewski, Rita Fitzjamer and Karen Aikey, all of California, Donna Britton of Harrisburg, and Paula Gentry of Mechanicsburg; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and, four brothers: David Henry of Mechanicsburg, Russell Henry of Harrisburg, Donald Henry of State College, and Paul Hocker of New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 6011 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg. Rev. G. Barry Stahl, her pastor will officiate. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until time of services.
Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
