Alexander Mann was born in South Carolina and traveled to Mississippi with Sarah Elizabeth and Alfred Gregory. He grew up in the Gregory household and is listed in the 1850 and 1860 censuses with them. Verbal history says he was her son by her first marriage, but records were destroyed in a fire, so father is unknown. (Info provided by contributor 48775583).
