Emily Barton, 82, passed away April 26, 1991 of natural causes.
Born June 29, 1908 in Colonia Garcia, Mexico to George F. Lewis and Mary A. Huff. Married Glen Lund Barton in June, 1907 in Parowan, Utah.
She was active in the LDS Church all of her life; served as Relief Society Presient and in many other callings. She had a great capacity for love and cherished and served her family.
Survived by son, Max K. Barton (Lois), Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Iona Dollar, Las Vegas, Nevada; son, Glen L. Barton (Lucille), Clinton; son, George Cleo Barton (Lyle), Salt Lake City; 19 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Beth Barton, and four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 1991, at 12 noon, in the Murray 3rd LDS Ward Chapel, 4600 South 160 East, Murray, Utah. Friends may call Tuesday evening, April 30, from 6-8 p.m., at the MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, or one hour prior to services at the ward. Interment will be in the Murray City Cemetery.
