Elmer Bettge, 55, of Corpus Christi, died Thursday in a veterans' hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
He had resided in Corpus Christi prior to being transferred to a veterans' hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
He is survived by two daughters, Ruby Edwards of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Becky Motes of Glenpool, Oklahoma; two sons, Mike Bettge and William Bettge, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ann Twist of Kingsville and Emma Bynum of Frankston, Texas; three brothers, Delmer Bettge of Corpus Christi, Frank Bettge of Port Sulpher, Louisiana, and Charlie Bettge of Frankston, Texas; eight grandchildren.
Military graveside services will be in the National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
