Born April 6, 1898,in Magoffin County,KY.,he was a son of Alex and Vinia Shepherd Dotson.
He married Betty Lona Prater on Oct. 25, 1923,and she died June 21, 1971.
Survivors include four daughters,Mrs.John(Irene)Pringle of Kenton,Mrs.Robert (Velma)Scott of here,Mrs. Marvin (Virginia)Swisher of Pueblo,Colo., and Mrs. Bernice Hatton of Grand Blanc, Mich.; two sons, William Russell of Gardner, Kan., and Charles A. of Margate,
Fla.; 23 grand-children; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was a retired employee of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad and attended the Alger
Church of God.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hanson Funeral Home, Rev. George Hurt officiating.
Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial may be made to the Gideon Bible Society.
