Mrs. Crouthers, 85 years old, died Sunday at the Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
She was born Apr. 22, 1905, in New Madrid County, the daughter of Robert Lee and Maggie Elizabeth Hawes Weaks. She married Edgar E. Crouthers May 21, 1927. He died Apr. 27, 1979.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeannie White; a brother, Jake Weaks; a sister, Lillian Acord; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters.
