Minnie J. Hennings was the daughter of Christian "Christ" Hennings and Mary Herring.

She married Charles A. Baker on 23 Feb 1892.

Minnie died while shopping in downtown Elyria, OH and was buried 7 Feb 1939.

Elyria Resident For 66 Years Dies Suddenly

A heart attack while shopping in a Broad Street store this morning caused the instant death of Mrs. Minnie Baker, 70, of 905 East River street, a resident of Elyria for 66 years.

Mrs. Baker had for the past few weeks been staying with her son, Clarence, in Lorain. She came with him and his son, Clarence, Jr., today and was in Grant's store with her grandson when she was stricken. Her son was outside in his car at the time.

Rushed To Hospital

She was rushed to Elyria Memorial Hospital in an ambulance but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Relatives said she has been suffering from heart trouble for some time.

Mrs. Baker lived here with her sister, Mrs. Rudolph Stark, at 905 East River street.

She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Aid Society of that church.

Besides the above mentioned son, she is also survived by another son, Harold H. Baker of 143 Beebe Ct., Elyria; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two other sisters, Mrs. Henry Schultz of Warren, Mich. and Mrs. August Kadel of Cleveland and one brother, Charles Hennings of Elyria.

Her body will be taken from the Nichols Funeral Home here today to the funeral home of Wesley Baker of Berea, a nephew, and then returned to the home of her sister here tomorrow.

Funeral services will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church here Tuesday afternoon, it was reported.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grace Lutheran Church for Mrs. Minnie Baker, 70, of 905 East River street, who died of a heart ailment Saturday.

Her body will be at the home of her son, Harold H. Baker of 134 Beebe court, here until noon tomorrow, and not at the home of her sister, as was reported Saturday.

Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery.

Aid Society Activities

Grace Lutheran Aid Society met yesterday for a business session in the parish hall. A devotional service and a brief talk by Reverend Walker, pertaining to church activities opened the meeting.
Plans were discussed for the games party which will be an event in the parish hall October twenty first with Mrs. W. W. Walker, general chairman. When the Society meets in regular session in two weeks, the oldest member, Mrs. Minnie Streicker, will be specially honored on the occasion of her birthday. The committee for that time will be chaired by Mrs. Minnie Baker.
