Amy was born on January 4, 1907 in Perry to Edward and Bessie M. Hartung. She had two sisters, Kate and Alta; one brother, Harvey. She married Oval Cross about 1924 in Oklahoma. They had tree children; Neva Jo, Loren Oval and Delbert Edward. Oval died in 1947 leaving her a widow. On July 16, 1953 she married Wilbur Loveless. Amy died on December 15, 1992 at Perry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Bessie; her husbands, Oval in 1947 and Wilbur in 1977 and her son Loren.
She was buried in the Grace Hill Cemetery.
