Funeral Services were held at 2:00p.m. at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wagoner under the direction of Green Funeral Home of Wagoner, with Reverend Russell Snelson of Coweta, Oklahoma officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, in Hulbert, Oklahoma.

Ben died at the home of his son, Leslie Vinson, in Wagoner, Oklahoma.

A retired farmer and native of Missouri, he fell several weeks before and broke his hip.

He is survived by two sons, Leslie Vinson of Wagoner, Oklahoma; Dock B. Vinson of Neosho, Missouri; two daughters, Opal Teague of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Florence Floyd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

NOTE: William mostly went by Ben Vinson. He didn't know when or where he was born. It appears that if he needed a birthdate or birthplace, he made up one. He always said he was born in Nebraska but according to the 1880 census he was born in Missouri. He would have been 84 years old when he died.

William's parents were Alexander & Rebecca Vinson. Maiden name of Rebecca unknown.

Marriage: October 3, 1901 Ben married Mattie B. Bennett in Muskogee, Oklahoma. MLI-OL-00192

Mattie was the daughter of James A. Bennett, the man Ben was working for. According to the 1900 Census, Mattie was born in 1883 in Arkansas.
