Ryan E. Pate, age 24, of Evansville, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 17, 2004.

Ryan was a 1998 gradu- ate of Central High School. He attended the automotive computer course at PCDI. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and working on cars. He was a proud father who dearly loved his children, Tristan and Gavin Pate.

Ryan is survived by his loving family, sons, Tristan Pate, Evansville, Ind., and Gavin Pate, Evansville, Ind.; parents, Wendall and Sharon (Cecil) Pate, Evansville, Ind.; mother of children, Jessie Pate, Evansville, Ind.; sister, Wendy Pate, Evansville, Ind.; grandmothers, Helen Pate, Evansville, Ind., and Dorothy Cecil, Evansville, Ind.; niece, Carly Moody, Evansville, Ind.; wife, Shaina Higbee Pate, Cambridge, Ohio; stepdaughter, Sarrah Evans, Cambridge, Ohio; stepson, Shain Evans, Cambridge, Ohio; uncles, Bill Pate, Evansville, Ind., Phil Pate, Evansville, Ind., and Mike and his wife, Jill Cecil of Washington, Ind.; aunt, Cindy and her husband, Howard Washburn, Elkhart, Ind.; great-uncle, Darwin Cecil and his wife, Louise, Evansville, Ind.; and several cousins, Cody Pate, Wesley Pate, Nekole Pate, Kristi Warren, Zack and Taylor Jackson,and Nathan and Josh Cecil.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2004, at Browning Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Simpkins officiating, burial following in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2004, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue.Memorial contributions may be made to the Ryan E. Pate Memorial Fund at Old National Bank for the benefit of his children.
