SERVICES HELD FOR ROGER GRISSOM

Funeral services were held from Our Chapel of Memories in Clovis on Friday for Roger Grissom, 74, who passed away in Clovis Memorial Hospital on Tuesday following a lengthy illness.

The Rev. C.C. Morgan, pastor of Forrest Heights Baptist Church, Clovis, assisted by Rev. W. C. Strickland, pastor of Hamlin Memorial Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Texico Cemetery, under direction of Our Chapel of Memories Funeral Home.

Mr. Grissom, who was born Sept.3, 1891 in Texas, moved to New Mexico in 1907 and settled on the farm two miles south of Texico where he still resided at time of his death. He was married to Retha Belle Purselley in March 1926. He was a member of the Texico Farm Bureau for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Retha Belle, one son, Wayne, Grand Junction, Colo.; one brother Bill, Oakland, Calif. and three grandchildren, also numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and many friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Wesley Engram, Edward Engram, Lewie Paul, Lawrence McDaniel, Jerry Paul and James Gillean.
