Aster (Tom) Gray, 79, 3809 Hunter Creek Road, died November 1, 2001 at V.A. Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Memory Hills Garden.
Aster was a World War II Combat Veteran. Served in artillery as cannoneer, battles, and campaigns: Rhineland and Central Europe, decorations and citations: EAME Campaign medal with 2 bronze stars, Victory medal, World War II good conduct medal, American Campaign medal, and received letter from President Truman thanking him for his service in our country.
Survivors include his spouse, Frances P. Gray, Northport; brothers, Willie Gray and Royce Gary both of Northport; several brother in laws and sister in laws, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews and nieces.
