Teacher Here For 25 Years Is Dead
Kathryn E. Finnegan of Murray Hill Was 63.
Devoting her life to teaching, Miss Kathryn E. Finnegan, 63, who died yesterday at Charity hospital after several months illness, had taught at Murray Hill Elementary School for the last 25 years.
A native of Amherst, Ohio, Miss Finnegan taught school there for 18 years before coming to Cleveland in 1914, She then joined the teaching staff of Murray Hill School and had been there until she became ill a few months ago.
Miss Finnegan, who formerly lived at 15800 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, had been a member of Christ the King Catholic Church since its inception 14 years ago.
She is survived by three brothers, Hugh A. of Amherst, John A. of Toledo, Ohio, and Thomas V. of Cleveland, and two sisters, Mrs. C. F. Ruth and Mrs. E. E. Fry, both of Cleveland.
A requiem high mass will be offered for her on Tuesday morning at 10 at Christ the King Church, Noble and Terrace Roads, East Cleveland.
