He was the son of Harry and Velma Moore. He married first to Evelyn Louise Moeller on 6 September 1940 in Oakland, California. Her ashes were spread somewhere in California. He married second to Rhoda Estelle Field, the widow of Harvey Garland Druin, on 16 June 1983 in Lodi, California.
He graduated from San Jose State College in San Jose, California in June 1939. He served during World War II as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and as commander of the USS PC555. He spent most of his career as an export sales engineer for Frazar & Hensen Ltd. and later for Super Mold Inc. out of Lodi, California. He was the first executive director of Junior Achievement of Lodi, California and was an active Mason and Shriner.
