She was the only child of her parents and spent her early years living between New York City and Washington D.C. before the family moved to Venezuela in 1924. In 1925, they moved to Cuba, where her father assisted in the building of the Central Highway. In 1932, they settled in Wyncote, Pennsylvania, where she met her first husband, Harvey Garland Druin. They married 21 August 1941 in Wyncote, Pennsylvania and started their married life in Oak Park, Illinois. They moved to Glendale, California in December 1944. This was followed by the residences in California at Sacramento, Elk Grove, Sacramento again, Los Angeles, Hillsborough, and finally Lodi in 1956, where she helped in the paint store they bought there. After they sold the paint store, they bought a motor home and enjoyed trips and campfires. After the death of Gar in 1978, she married second to Carl Richard Moore on 16 June 1983 in Lodi, California and enjoyed travels with him as well. In 1940, she attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia for one year and joined the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She was active in P.E.O. and Soroptimists International while living in Lodi. She was honored as "Woman of the Year" by the Lodi Chamber of Commerce in 1975. She enjoyed sewing and made many matching outfits for her two daughters as they were growing up and also the wedding dress for her daughter, Diane. Her obituary appeared in the Lodi News-Sentinel issue of 20 May 2002.
