ANDERSON, Lola Bass The Pulaski Citizen 12 Jul 1961
Mrs. John W. Anderson, 73, a former resident of Giles County, died of lung cancer at one o'clock Sunday, July 9, at Sheppard Air Force Base Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at McFarlin Memorial Methodist Church in Norman, Okla., her home, followed by the burial there.
Mrs. Anderson, the former Miss Lola Bass, was born in the Pisgah Community of Giles County, in 1887, the daughter of the late N. J. And Willie Worsham Bass. Finishing her education in the county's public schools she taught for a number of years at Pleasant Hill, Youngs Chapel and Pisgah. After her marriage to Mr. Anderson, U. S. Army retired, she moved to Oklahoma and has made her home there for many years. Mr. Anderson survives.
Mrs. Anderson also has one son, Nathan Anderson of Norman, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse Ludrick of Plainview, Texas, and Mrs. Marvin Wilson of Las Crusces, N. Mex.; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Roller of Nashville, and Mrs. Edd Lee Ingram of Pulaski.
