Born in the small town of Istein near Lörrach in Baden, Germany (near Basel, Switzerland). Lived in Birsfelden, Canton of Basel-Land, Switzerland for a time and for a job as a Silk Weaver (Posamenter). Moved to America in 1883 and joined her husband Robert Bäumle in Paterson NJ.
Her parents were Nicolaus Thüring (1822-1916) and Maria Martha Trimpin (1825-1871), both of them natives of Istein, Baden.

Mrs. Olive Baumle, widow of Robert Baumle, a former resident of Easton, died yesterday at her home at Paterson, from complications incident to her age. She was 77 years old.
She is survived by two daughters, Miss Hulda Baumle of Paterson and Mrs. Gustave Meyner, of Phillipsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:30 a.m. with further services at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Paterson.
