Arthur J. McDowell, 93, died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday in Indiana Pythian Home.
Mr. McDowell was born May 1, 1897, in Lafayette, and except for three years when he lived in Alberta, Canada, he was a life resident of Lafayette.
He lived at 1503 Grove St. before entering the nursing facility four years ago.
He married Dora Myrtle DuVall in Lafayette on May 21, 1921. She died Nov. 7, 1971.
Mr. McDowell was a wire worker at Peerless Wire Goods for 38 years before retiring in 1968.
He was a member of Lafayette Bowmen Club.
There are no immediate survivors.
Private services were held Thursday.
