Paul Blikstad, 85, Fergus Falls
The Rev. Paul Philip Blikstad, 85, of Fergus Falls, formerly of Salem, Ore., died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at his daughter's home in Fergus Falls.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a 6:30 prayer service, and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church. The service is 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls with the Rev. Ed Monson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fergus Falls.
Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of arrangements.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, Minn., for Paul Philip Blikstad of Fergus Falls, formerly of Lane County. He died April 21 of age-related causes at age 85. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls. A committal service will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls.
He was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Fergus Falls, Minn., to Einar and Clara Christofferson Blikstad. He married Olive Egstad on Oct. 16, 1943, in Grand Forks, N.D.
He worked as a minister, a public school teacher, high school counselor and private school principal.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Priscilla Parker of Richland, Wash., Phoebe Pierce of Sisters, Phyllis Thun of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lois Undseth of Fergus Falls; three sons, Paul of Bend, Stephen of Beaverton and Jonathan of Cape Coral, Fla.; 33 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, Eric Parker and Joseph Undseth, died previously.
