Major (Ret.) Keith R. "Woody" Jennings, 66, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2009. He was a resident of New Whiteland. He was born October 31, 1942 in Little Falls, MN. He married Judy G. Sattler on November 11, 1961 and she survives. Other survivors include, two sons, Parnell R. Jennings and his wife Angela R. of Greenwood and Timothy W. Jennings and his wife, Angelene of Indianapolis; one sister, Linda Scherschligt of Sioux Falls, SD; and six grandchildren, Keith R. Jennings, Steven R. Jennings, Justin C. Shimp, Brittany J. Shimp, Jordan Faith Jennings, and Jazmyn Hope Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L and Sadonna (Frisk) Jennings and a sister, Donna J. Hanson.

Woody retried from the U.S. Army after 21 years of distinguished military service. He was a decorated Combat Veteran serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of the Special Forces and a Green Beret. He was a lifetime member of the V.F. W. and Past Commander of Post # 9334.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Monday at 11:00am at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Vandivier Tudor Chapel. 951 N. Main St. Franklin. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
